We now release---the ASHPD! Our pinnacle of development, the Portal Cannon as it is called, allows a set of 2 linked portals to be generated. If you enter one, you exit the other. I have been authorized to show various models, and this excerpt from the training manual:
ASHPD is an experimental tool used to create two portals through which objects can pass. The central piece of the "Portal project", Tier 3 of the three-tier program created by Aperture Science's CEO Cave Johnson on his deathbed in 1976, it is used within the Enrichment Center's Test Chambers, as the Test Subjects' primary tool to complete each chamber.
Here are some things I found while looking through /UNDISCLOSED/'s notebook(attached).
001: Some velocity-energy equations and a possible planned test chamber?
002:Something about the Supercolliding Superbutton. I think the boxes are Weighted Storage Cubes, or maybe Companion Cubes.
003:This is the end-of-testchamber interference field and elevator. It destroys WSCs and WCCs.
004:Shows the Hi-energy pellet going through a Portal. I think the detector opens a door?
005:Infinite loop error? I think its about the infinite fall we discovered..... you'd fall forever.
006:A MK2 Portal Cannon! Wow... It looks like it'll be much smaller. If you can make sense of the equation please tell me.
007:I think this is a CAEC Logo design. We're having a competition, so that'd make sense.
008:Hmm, looks to me like a turret drone of some kind.
009:It's a moving scaffold! I've heard they were developing those.
